I'm still a little tired from yesterday's meat fest at Fogo de Chão. Very tasty! If you go, get the pork tenderloin, and for dessert, get the creme brulee (so silky and delish!). And really, the salad bar is *awesome*!
Finally uploaded pics to Flickr that I'd been meaning to for a while now. (I need to bite the bullet and get a Pro account sooner rather than later.) There are still quite a few photos on my camera, but it's a start, right? I'll try to fish through them by the end of the week, but it might be next week, considering...
Not only are Jon & Christine moving out of town in the next week, but our roommates Dave and Dani are leaving in mere days for Portland, with Josh and Shmoe. For those of you that are available, there's a party for them this Thursday (tomorrow!)--if you want details contact me.
On another note, I spent too long today giving MSI (Mindless Self Indulgence) a listen on Imeem. Don't care for them so much, but had to be sure.
And, since it's been a long time since I've posted anything but a quick blurb, I'll note that the final Harry Potter book is excellent. And that's all I'm saying on the subject, because I know many of ya haven't read it.
Um... let's see... I've been playing World Of Warcraft for a few days now, using our friend Mike's level 70 Nelf hunter (obviously he's not playing anymore). So far I've tripled the amount of gold the character has (from 101 to over 300 now) and in that same vein, discovered that Thick Clefthoof Leather is a major money maker. Having not fully explored Outland when I was playing Emegen (just up to 62), getting around is a pain in the ass. Wish there was an auction house up there somewhere, because traveling between Outland and the rest of Azeroth blows. UGH.
Oh! One more note before I go--I've pretty much fallen in love with the Chatterbox. And while it certainly isn't just because of the Young’s Double Chocolate Stout, it's a factor. I could totally go for one right now, if only for the taste. Mmm.
Back to work now. Ta!
There's an actual genre of music based of Rowling's books, aka 'wrock' for wizard rock. Ok, perhaps not JUST her books, but... dear god...
Best I've found so far is Ministry of Magic (check out "Snape vs. Snape" or "Accio Love", heh)
A glance down at the friend's list will give you a handful more, but there's always Real Wizard Rock for a full list of offerings.
Whoa.
Also, this:
My lovely, awesome Chad pre-ordered the book for me! Heee!
I got up at 8 AM to sleep a bit more on the couch, but still be able to hear the doorbell or knock.
At about 11, at last came the sharp rap on our door. I squealed, tossed the cat off my lap, and dashed off...

The first sentence:
"Two men appeared out of nowhere, a few yards apart in the narrow, moonlit lane."
And now, the reading commences.
yeah, I had to use my lego snape icon...
Chad preordered a copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for me yesterday, and also pointed out a ticker on Amazon's HP page that tracks the number of pre-orders they've received (as of just now: 894,149.
We're headed to Spyhouse this afternoon if anyone cares to join! (I'll be working, but Chad won't...!) *Might* grab a bite first.
